Located on the historical Ibo Island, which is the former capital of Mozambique, is Ibo Island Lodge. At Ibo Island Mozambique travelers will find themselves nestled amongst history from an age and era gone by. Ibo Island Lodge is built from three colonial mansions that have been lovingly restored to their former glory. On the island itself is a population who still practice many of the customs that have been practiced on Ibo for hundreds of years, such as the silversmithing Ibo is famous for.

The three mansions are all airconditioned, and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The rooms are decorated in a style that takes you back to colonial Ibo Island Mozambique. The Lodge also has two swimming pools.

Activities include a Historical Tour of Ibo Island, trips to a deserted sandbank, snorkeling and swimming, or a kayak trip into the mangroves.

Ibo Island Lodge Cuisine is a combination of locally grown produce and freshly caught seafood prepared traditionally.
