There are three different room types to choose from.  The 4 Sunrise Villas are comfortable and spacious and only a few steps from the white beach and offer a spectacular view of the sunrise each morning.  The 4 Sunset Villas have idyllic locations and feature an additional outdoor shower and beach sala.  The most desired Villa is Villa Quilelea which offers the best in views, spaciousness, design and layout.  Villa Quilalea is the only Villa with a private infinity pool, extended decking with relaxation areas and covered outdoor private dining area. It also features a extra large bathroom with free standing bath and separate dressing room.  But the most desired feature of this Villa is the direct sea access via a clifftop ladder to a superb snorkel spot right in front of the Villa (Villa Quilalea is really one of the best Villas in Mozambique and comes highly recommended by Mozambique Voyages!)

All villas feature as a standard en suite facilities, air conditioning and ceiling fans, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar and wooden decks with sun loungers.  Azura at Quilalea also offers it guets a unique energy control system whereby guests can take control of their own eco-footprint. They can make full use of all the modern technology and air conditioning, or simply throw their villa open to being air-cooled by the natural breezes rolling in from the ocean.

Each Villa has their own dedicated Mozambican host that takes extra special care of their guests during their stay.  This includes setting up special spots to sip sundowner cocktails or a romantic private candle lit dinner venue.  Dining experiences are world class but still remain in line with the island's "Green Ethos".  Fresh fish and seafood dominate the menu but a careful selection of choice menu options are available for those who prefer something different.  The main guest ares at Azura at Quilalea are as elegant, comfortable and spacious as the Villas and further enhance the idyllic relaxed island atmosphere.

A well rounded selection of activities are on offer at the Lodge but the most popular activities are water based. Snorkeling is accessible off the main beach where regular sightings are made of huge potato bass and schools of hunting jacks.  Scuba divers need only swim out a short distance from the main beach to reach the house reef that is home to rich variety of marine life.  Fishing is another popular activity or paddle a kayak around the island.  For the less adventurous there massages and beauty treatments available at the wellness centre, whale watching in season or a leisurely walk around the island to view impressive baobab trees and an impressive bird life.

Access:

The closest airport is Pemba Airport.  From there an island transfer flight is booked to Quirimbas Island.  From here guests will be collected and taken for a short boat ride across to Quilalea Island.  Should some time need to be spent on Quirimbas Island to meet island transfer flight schedules, a tour is on offer of the large coconut plantation on this island as well an informative talk on the recent history of the islands and its people.
