Situated north of Inhambane, Massinga Beach Lodge overlooks an endless stretch of pristine beach.  The main buildings and rooms are set amongst the vegetation on top of a dune which makes for beautiful, unobstructed views of the Indian Ocean.  Golf cart access to the beach is provided by the Lodge on request.

The accommodation at Massinga Beach Lodge is delightfully luxurious.  The Ocean Front Deluxe Rooms are a spacious and comfortable haven in which to relax and unwind.  The rooms feature en suite facilities - including a rain shower and free standing bath, stocked mini bar and air conditioning.  The room leads out onto a furnished private deck complete with splash pool.  The Ocean View Junior Suites are perfect for families as they feature two comfortable sleeper couches in the lounge and a separate bathroom.  The suites also lead out onto private decks, however, they do not have their own splash pools.

Guest areas include a comfortable main lounge, reception area, bar, restaurant and the dive pool and deck.  Local seafood is combined with fresh ingredients to make for scrumptious meals, all served with the typical friendly Mozambican flair.
 
At Massinga Beach Lodge guests are free to do as much or as little as they wish during their stay.  Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach, perhaps to a private picnic set up, or sit back and watch for whales from the raised wooden decks whilst enjoying a cocktail or light snack.  For the more energetic there is the option of a hike through the expansive palm groves, enjoying a quad bike trail, trying your hand at fishing or getting involved in the local community school project.  The Lodge will make arrangements for guests that wish to enjoy scuba diving or snorkeling at one of the local reefs.  A dive centre will be established at the Lodge itself during the first half of 2012.

Access:

The nearest airport is the Inhambane Airport.  Airport transfers can be arranged for fly in clients.  Please note that the Lodge is accessible by 4x4 vehicles only.  Self drive clients that are not in 4x4 can travel to a secure parking area approximately 13 km from the Lodge and then enjoy a return transfer.
