Situated approximately 2 hours south from Nacala on the Mossuril Pensinsula, lies Coral Lodge 15.41, a modern-African luxury lodge in the heart of Mozambique’s remote and in-tact culture. With modern architecture mixed with local raw materials, Coral Lodge 15.41 recently opened with 10 luxury villas, all ensuite, airconditioned, and include day beds and a minibar.

To fully compliment the exterior design of the Coral Lodge villas, architect Edward van Vliet used a blend of African and modern styles for the furniture that decorates the interior of the villas. The bedrooms have been furnished with the award-winning Evening Breeze bed. These beautifully-designed canopy beds allow for full air-conditioned climate control and provide guests with a superb sleeping experience. And if that wasn’t enough, natural materials were used to manufacture the hardness-adjustable mattresses and cushions. To keep it natural, the windows and shutters have been designed with maximum adjustability in mind so that a gentle breeze can always flow through the rooms.

Coral Lodge 15.41 is built on a privately- owned reserve called Varanda. Varanda is a peninsula with a big Laguna. Through the Laguna the tides offer life to the mangrove forest behind the sand dunes, the breeding ground for many sea creatures. The area is visited by east African birds and is habited by bush babies (small nocturnal primates), monkeys, snakes and mongoose. Explore Varanda by canoe or on foot.

This opens the possibility to visit Ilha da Mozambique unlimited but overnight in a comfortable lodge with a lower risk of malaria  than on the island.  They need to change the boat for the transfers or do the transfers in the traditional Dhow only.
